21-30 Question

Describe the types of activities that are practiced by the young people of the society. What do these activities reveal about the culture? The technology  becaus the books they leave because they don't use them. What happens to the people the firemen visit as they perform their work? They see that firefighters  are putting the fire and burning book instead of putting out fire and the people don't even care. The firemen’s book, the brief histories of the Firemen of America is filled with ironies. What is ironic  about this text? The ironic is that firefighters are putting fire and their supposed to do the opposite. As the reader accompanies Montag to his first fire scene, he/she meets an old woman who lights her  books and her house on fire. Just prior to this act, she says, “‘“Play the man, Master Ridley; we shall this day light such a candle, by God’s grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out”’”(33) . Explain  Bradbury’s allusion. What is the wom...

I don't know well where we stop and what going on the book. Also tomorrow I will come with questions because I don't know what the book going on. I am still waiting for the book to read it from the beginning with my time and talk about it in my own vocabulary to understand it. But I do know is  that Montag had a depression wife and her relationship was sadness. Also I know that Clarisse was a girl who made Montag think really well about his relationship and his life. He even thought about and was knowing that he had to lied to not look so bad. Then Montag wife eat sleeping pills that could have killed her. My big question is why is it so difficult at the beginning to have their baby but at the end its easy.

20 Questions

The Hearth and the Salamander” seems an odd choice for a chapter title.  Why do you suppose Bradbury chooses it? What connections is he creating? (hint: in mythology, the salamander is a fire lizard, said to be capable of starting and putting out fires)The chapter is connecting it to his life and his work to the title.  Because he connected it to the character.   The lines, “It was a pleasure to burn. It was a special pleasure to see things eaten, to see things  blackened and  changed ” (1) tell the reader a great deal about the protagonist, Guy Montag.  What assumptions can the reader make? He is not happy with his life and he just wants destruction. But he feels better when he work. Bradbury’s use of metaphor and animal imagery begins on page one of the novel. He writes, “With the  brass nozzle in his fists, with this great python spitting its venomous kerosene upon the world, the blood  pounded in his head...” (1). Why would he have cho...
Today I am listening to Dr. Preston. He is reading a book of Fahrenheit 451 but I so far don't like the book. And it also doesn't grab my attention but hopefully  in the middle of the book it grabs my attention and I could understand the whole book.

BREAKING THE LAW

When is it wrong to break the law? When is it right? I think it's wrong to break a law when someone is getting hurt or when they break or distory something that does not  belong to them. Then it's right to break a law if it include you saving or helping someone.
William Shakespeare  He qualifies as a hero because he show people that it doesn't matter what a person looks like or is but what inside him and you love them for their personality. I personal think that he is an awesome  author because he wrote a lot of stories that represented and mean a lot in real life. He show that his quotes were life lessons.

Thoreau quotes

Rather than love, than money, than fame, give me truth To me it mean that the person doesn't want money, love, fame they just want you to trust them with anything and you give them trust. Their refer to society. Do not hire a man who does your work for money, but him who does it for love of it. To me it means don't get someone who will do things for money but find someone who would do it for love no matter what. They refer to nature. Not until we are lost do we begin to understand ourselves. This quote means a lot to me since it apply to me when I found out I was pregnant I felt that everything  was falling down. I felt that I was no going to have my parent support and not have a place to live and i didn't know if i was going to keep my way to school, since my daughter was going to change my life. But I ended up finding doing myself capable of taking care of a kid and going to school this proves to me how strong I can be without me even knowing. Their refer to really l...
